About The Owner
SGrain originated through Napakorn (Pokpong) Pongsak, and his personal story in overcoming hyperthyroidism.
Through founding S-Grain, I have been able to turn a personal health challenge, Graves’ disease, into a mission for impact. After being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and struggling with rapid weight loss, I created a calorie-dense rice milk using short-grain rice, a resource often discarded in Thailand. It has been deeply rewarding to transform an overlooked grain into something that nourishes others while making positive impact on the Thai community.
Our Story
S-Grain is a social enterprise committed to transforming short-grain rice into a nourishing, sustainable drink.
By sourcing directly from local farmers and creating a calorie-dense, allergen-friendly milk, we aim to improve health outcomes for underserved communities while adding value to agricultural byproducts. Read about how we bring together nutrition, sustainability, and social impact below.

16%

of harvested rice is short-grain rice, often burned or sold as low value livestock feed. Yet it has identical nutritional value to long-grain rice
